MEET THE FOUNDER

Board Certified Lactation Supporter (IBCLC), educator, doula, and the founder of YOLO Breastfeeding.

Shonte’ Terhune-Smith is a lactation supporter committed to making breastfeeding support more accessible, timely, and more reflective of the communities it serves. Her work is rooted in real experiences, supporting families through the challenges, questions, and quiet moments that don’t always get talked about, but matter deeply.

She created The Drop after seeing the gaps firsthand, where families struggled to find the right support, and where lactation professionals, especially those from underrepresented communities, weren’t always valued or connected. The Drop is her response: a space where mothers can access trusted lactation supporters and IBCLCs of color, and where professionals can grow, learn, and build community.

This isn’t just a platform—it’s a commitment to doing lactation support differently, with care, clarity, and intention.
